ForumONLINE
History
ForumONLINE was created in August 2006 by Alan Bowler. It was near his 15th birthday. The forum was orginally called Alan's Official Chat Forum being part of Alan's official website. It developed new skills as it went along progressing with more and more members. But one day in September 2006, the forum went all wrong and wasn't working correctly. But this wasn't the end of Alan's Official Chat Forum. Alan wanted the forum back to how it used to be. So he thought about it and built a completely new forum. He then named it ForumOnline as it was a more better name than the last one. So Alan told all the members to come onto the new forum. And by November 2006, the forum was better than ever with over 50 members.
Through this time, Alan has developed his forum skills to build another forum for back-up. This was originally going to be a School forum for all teenagers to hang around at. But it wasn't the idea he came up with in the end. A Doctor Who forum was to be made using the same old style as ForumOnline. It was later named DoctorWhoPlanet as Doctor Who was Alan's favourite TV Show. With two forum's of brilliance, Alan had more idea's to advertise the forum on chats. This worked as by December 2006 Alan had over 70 members.
Then ForumOnline had it's own Song Panel and a fast chat room. 2007 arrived in a flash with currently on the journey to 100 members. The advertising stopped on chats but in January and Febuary ForumOnline was on the edge of closing and so was DoctorWhoPlanet. So Alan had to think of something fast and so he did. His plan was to reunite all old members from the forum and brink them back to ForumOnline. It worked but sadly DoctorWhoPlanet didn't as sometime in May DoctorWhoPlanet closed with less than 10 members joined which wasn't good... But luckily ForumOnline had a couple of new members from the closed forum. In late May big changes were made to ForumOnline. As the Song Panel and ChatBox ended for their low popularity but the forum itself was incredible reaching a total of over 90 members and lots of people chatting. With ForumOnline being as popular as ever... members were treated to a new free video service called ForumOnline On Demand. This only lasted a couple of months before it was decided a Music Libary could be better so it was decided that it would be successful.
In late November 2007 when the christmas look started, it had a new Diamond logo for the new revived ForumONLINE. The diamond logo has continued throughout 2008. | |
